Lucite

Lucite is a branded form of acrylic known for exceptional clarity and durability. In the deal toy world, Lucite has become the standard word for acrylic embedments, even though Lucite is technically a specific PMMA brand.

In deal toy production, Lucite embedments are individually cell cast. The process involvesmixing liquid monomer with powdered resin, forming a slurry, pouring into molds, adding internal graphics and curing in an autoclave. This creates optically clear blocks that can hold documents, 3D objects, acetate layers and other embedded design elements.

Lucite is ideal for:
